Field Trip to KAR Group-Khurmala Oil Field As part of the departmental activities designed to enhance the students’ experiences, third-grade students of the Petroleum and Mining Engineering (PAME) Department, Faculty of Engineering  at Tishk International University (TIU) went on a scientific field trip to KAR Group Company-Khurmala Oil Field, located about 35 kilometers southwest of Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, on December 11th, 2022. Field Trip to Rocks and Gemstones Museum The Department of Petroleum Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University, organised a scientific trip for third-stage students to the Rocks and Gemstones Museum in Erbil Citadel on December 1st, 2022, under the supervision of Dr. Shwan Omer. The trip aimed to familiarise students with different types of rocks and minerals and help students relate to their theoretical knowledge in this subject. Opening Ceremony of the New Petroleum & Mining Engineering Laboratories The newly established laboratories of the Department of Petroleum & Mining Engineering at Tishk International University were officially opened on Wednesday, 5th of October, 2022, at 10:00 AM. Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of the Board of Trustees at TIU and Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, Vice President of TIU, attended the opening ceremony.
