In celebration of the 1st of May Labors Day by Tishk International University, groups of students of both 4th stage Architectural Engineering and Interior Design Departments alongside their coaching staff, organized a very stimulating environmental trip to the mountains of Kurdistan, a place called Shaikh -Turab.
At the site, many activities were done by the students and the faculty staff, such as mountaineering, walking, football gaming, and volleyball as well. The most constructive activity, which was under the advice and supervision of Dr. Hassan Hassoon ALDelfi, Faculty member and Advisor of TIU Sustainability Club, was the Clean Up Environment event. Through remarkable teamwork, seven piles of rubbish were collected and burnt. The landscape was left so clean that some locals praised such activity with appreciation and joy. The groups returned back to the university campus later that evening, and all expressed how they enjoyed the outing. Dr. Hassoon highlighted that all picnickers of TIU should do the same, leaving the environment and landscapes better than found.
