The First Iraqi Forum of Architecture Departments united academics and students from 27 public and private universities across Iraq to exchange ideas on the future of architectural education and its influence on Iraq’s urban and cultural identity. The event was organized by University of Baghdad , College of Engineering, Held on 21st and 22nd October 2025. As TIU representatives received a warm welcome from the president, Dean, and the Head of the Department at the University of Baghdad. The Academic staff included Shino Abdullah, Head of Department, Seema Khalid, Lecturer, Tara Sami, Research Assistant. As for student involvement representatives: Mohammad Sabah – 5th Stage student, Basma Yaseer – 5th Stage student.
Objectives of Participation:
- Represent Tishk International University at a national academic platform.
- Contribute to dialogues on curriculum development, digital transformation, and academic challenges.
- Encourage collaboration and knowledge-sharing among Iraqi architecture universities.
- Showcase student creativity through the national gallery exhibition.

It is highly recommended that Tishk International University hosts a future edition of the Iraqi Forum of Architecture Departments, Such an initiative would provide national exposure and enhance TIU’s academic reputation, Strengthen collaboration and knowledge exchange among universities, Offer a platform for students and faculty to showcase design excellence and research innovation and Reinforce TIU’s leadership role in shaping Iraq’s architectural and urban future.
