Spring Festival – Armenian Tent and Architecture Tent

In collaboration with the Dean of Students, Tishk International University organized the 6th International Festival of Language, Culture and Science at the TIU campus under the theme of Women Empowerment, held on March 8th, 2023. The annual event witnessed the participation of general consulates, politicians, parents, students, staff, and guests. The festival comprised 38 tents each representing a country, 29 scientific tents from TIU departments, 4 nations including Kurdish, Arabic, Turkmen, and Christian, and other tents for food fundraising, art exhibitions, and many entertainment games. The festival also focused on promoting the message of peace and coexistence among countries and nations, and each department represented the culture of a country. The Architecture Department, Faculty of Engineering, represented Armenia in the Country Tents. The team curated an experience that encapsulated the essence of Armenia, encompassing its rich history, culinary delights, traditional attire, and distinctive artefacts. Visitors were treated to an great experience, thanks to the dedication of numerous student volunteers. These students took on roles as cultural ambassadors, donning traditional Armenian attire and enlightening visitors about Armenian history and heritage.

Architecture Tent

The Architecture Department celebrated the arrival of spring and Women’s Day with an extraordinary event that showcased the exceptional talent and dedication of its students. Visitors to the event were astonished by the vast knowledge and expertise displayed by the architecture students. Inside the scientific tent, an array of captivating 3D models, mesmerizing 2D composition arts, and impressive student works were exhibited. The focus of the exhibition centered around recognizing and celebrating the achievements of female architects in honor of Women’s Day.

One of the highlights of the event was the innovative use of virtual reality (VR) technology, allowing visitors to experience renowned architectural wonders from around the world. The virtual reality experience enabled guests to immerse themselves in the grandeur of iconic structures such as the Eiffel Tower, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Louvre Museum, and the Colosseum amphitheater.

The exhibition served as a testament to the exceptional talent and dedication of our department. By organizing this event, the students and faculty members not only celebrated the arrival of spring and Women’s Day but also provided a platform to honour and inspire the next generation of architects, particularly female architects.
