The Department of Architecture of Tishk International University held an orientation program for freshmen students on October 13th and 14th, 2021. The program was designed to welcome new students to TIU for the academic year of 2021-2022. The event was attended by students from 2nd to 5th grades, and was conducted under the supervision of Mrs. Shino Abdullah, Head of Department, who delivered a warm welcoming speech to all newcomers.
Mr. No’man Bayaty, Lecturer at the Department of Architecture, presented a seminar in which he summarized the information and regulations within the student handbook. He also discussed the university’s guidelines, and highlight the different services offered by the university such as the exchange programs. Mr. No’man further explained TIU’s grading system, and thoroughly demonstrated how grades are calculated. The seminar also covered the faculty hierarchy and disciplinary cases within.
To wrap up, the class advisors, and staff members were introduced, and students also had the opportunity to present introduce themselves to the faculty members and each other.
