On 13th of October 2017, The 4th year students under the supervision of their lecturers of Architectural Design V (Dr. Hafedh Yahya , Dr. Husein Ali and Dr. Faris Ali ) and the assistants (Ms. Farah Maysan , Mrs. Sarah Raad and Mrs. Dunya Dilshad) visited Rizgary hospital in Erbil city and walked through its departments .they listen to the explanation of the employees inside the hospital and their lecturers . On the 23rd of May, 2017, Tishk International University held its annual Kurdistan Culture Exhibition at its main building in the campus. The Architecture Department and Interior Department of Tishk International University has been preparing for the exhibition for the last semester. More than 250 projects from the two departments combined, were exhibited in the second floor of the main building. The event was organized by the exhibition committee assigned by the Head of Architecture Department, Ms. Soma Manmi, and the Head of Interior department, Mr. Haval Sami. The Architecture Department of Tishk International University has been preparing for the NICE competition on its third cycle for the past two months in order to be awarded with the top prizes as the past two cycles of the competition. Architectural Engineering and Interior Design Departments are organizing an Art Exhibition for Architectural and Interior projects , Photography, paintings and Live Music. This is an opportunity for the talented students to present their work of projects and Art which consists of building designs , Professional Photographs, Handcrafted Sculptures and Paintings with Pencils, Pastels, Acrylic and Water Colors. On Thursday, April 13th, The Dean of Engineering Faculty, Dr. Halit Vural, and the Head of Architectural Engineering Department, Ms. Soma A. Kareem, welcomed Ms. Asmaa Habbal, the Sales Manager of Encyclomedia, a Lebanese book store which is specialized in selling artistic, architectural, encyclopaedias, interior design, and graphic design books and magazines, as she, on the behalf of Encyclomedia, contributed to the library of the university with a gift of 20 books that are worth of 400 USD, as she was thanked for her generous gesture by offering Encyclomedia to stand a book-selling booth in the campus for the students to get a hand on the latest [...]

On the 12th of April, Tishk International University held a festival for Science, Culture and Language within its campus in Erbil, Kurdistan Region. It was opened by the Head of Board of Trustees, Dr. Idris Hadi, the Dean of Engineering Faculty, Dr. Halit Vural and the Head of Architecture Department, Ms. Soma Manmi. Department of Architecture had its own pavilion to present its part at the science fair. On 16th of April 2017, the lecturers of Landscape Design Mr. Younus Ali and Mr Abdulrazaq Zamil and Mr.Nawaz Dabbagh and the assistants Ms. Aysha Rashid and Ms.Rawaz Najmaldeen) took the 2nd stage students to the Visit to Belken Kindergarten beside French Lebanese university to see how the kindergarten works. During the trip the students were led into the kindergarten to observe the general zones and functions of the building, while analyzing several aspects of the design elements, including zoning, circulation, and activities.
