On May 16th, 2024, the Department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a scientific trip for 2nd year students to the Aqra. The trip aimed to introduce the components of petroleum systems to students and to illustrate the efficient operation of these systems. Further to this, students acquired knowledge regarding oil seeps, the measurement of dip and strike, and various rock types and stratigraphic units in order to establish a strong foundation for their future careers in the petroleum industry. On Thursday, 1st of June, 2023, the Department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University organized a geological trip for the first grade students to Shaqlawa Area crossing the Pirmam Anticline towards Safin Anticlie and Mirawa Valley (Syncline).
