Opening Ceremony of the New Petroleum & Mining Engineering Laboratories The newly established laboratories of the Department of Petroleum & Mining Engineering at Tishk International University were officially opened on Wednesday, 5th of October, 2022, at 10:00 AM. The Department of Petroleum & Mining Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University organized a field trip along the road from Erbil City to Shaqlawa Town on May 18th, 2022. Departmental staff and 17 students of first grade participated in the trip. The trip was to show students the geological features which are present on both sides of the road. The area between Erbil City and Shaqlawa district involves many important geological structures such as anticlines, synclines, faults, joints and many other structures.
