On Thursday, 1st of June, 2023, the Department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University organized a geological trip for the first grade students to Shaqlawa Area crossing the Pirmam Anticline towards Safin Anticlie and Mirawa Valley (Syncline). The trip was held under the supervision Dr. Shwan Omer, Lecturer of General Geology, and aimed to show students geological rock formations and other features. Field Trip to Rocks and Gemstones Museum The Department of Petroleum Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University, organised a scientific trip for third-stage students to the Rocks and Gemstones Museum in Erbil Citadel on December 1st, 2022, under the supervision of Dr. Shwan Omer. The trip aimed to familiarise students with different types of rocks and minerals and help students relate to their theoretical knowledge in this subject.
