Qarachugh Cement Factory Field Trip

A scientific field trip was arranged by petroleum and mining engineering department to Qarachugh Cement Plant/ Kar Group on 9th March 2021 for the students enrolled in the Mining Engineering course module. The trip was supervised by Professor, Dr. Hamed M. Jassim. The field trip was in connection with the Mining Engineering lectures. The first activity was a visit to the quarry which extracts raw materials for cement production. A Memorandum of Understanding Between ENTRAC Petroleum Limited (EPL) The United Kingdom and Tishk International University (TIU) Erbil, Iraq. On the 14th of February 2021, Tishk International University signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with ENTRAC Petroleum Limited; a British training and consultation company providing specialized technical and vocational training for Petroleum Engineers in addition to students and staff members in petroleum and other fields. Scientific Trip to Field Ready Erbil Makerspace

A scientific trip to Field Ready Erbil Makerspace was arranged on December 22, 2020, for second-grade Petroleum & Mining Engineering students. The trip was relevant to the subject of Thermodynamics, which is part of the departments' syllabus. It aimed to improve the understanding of advanced manufacturing technologies and product development for the current generation. Through this visitation, the students were able to see the use of 3D printers and the design of prototype models for all engineering fields.
