On Thursday, 14 October 2021, second-grade students who had joined the 'Free Hand Drawing' course conducted their session outdoors, in moderate weather and a breezy October day. Students gathered on campus and chose the educational faculty building to draw perspectives, each according to their own vision and place. The Department of Architecture of Tishk International University held an orientation program for freshmen students on October 13th and 14th, 2021. The program was designed to welcome new students to TIU for the academic year of 2021-2022. The event was attended by students from 2nd to 5th grades, and was conducted under the supervision of Mrs. Shino Abdullah, Head of Department, who delivered a warm welcoming speech to all newcomers. On 4th June 2021, Tishk International University has organized an international online workshop in collaboration with Erbil Polytechnic University titled (Building Information Modeling in Design, Construction). The workshop's objective was to give efficient knowledge about Building Information Modeling (BIM) to target modern ideas for engineers; BIM illustrated such as the best-invited concept for upgrading the brightest outcome in the engineering world. Graduation Projects Discussions were held in the Architecture Department, over the course of three days; 22nd, 23rd, 24th of June 2021. Discussions were held in two separate design studios simultaneously, and guest jurors were invited to evaluate the projects alongside internal examiners and the supervisors of each project. The first-day discussion guests included Assist. Architecture Department students won first place in the National Innovation Competition in Engineering (NICE). Lana Sarkawt, Dania Idrees, and Maryam Duraid participated in the competition with their project for the Urban Design course. The project concept was driven from its context; an urban project located near three universities: Tishk International University, Lebanese French University, and Cihan University.
