Architecture students amongst the top 100 finalists and the top 18 in Iraq
Tamayouz Excellence award champions and celebrates the best of architecture worldwide. Established in 2012 in the UK, is an independent initiative is sponsored by internationally recognized cultural and academic institutions and is dedicated to supporting aspirational and transformative projects that tackle local and global challenges.
The Iraqi graduation projects competition by Tamayuz, gives the opportunity to all schools of architecture in Iraq, and Iraqi students all over the world to present their graduation projects, and presents various awards to the winners. for the graduation projects, 2021 and onwards the Iraqi graduation projects are included in the international graduation projects so students from all over the world will have the opportunity to participate.
Furthermore, Tamayuz announced the top 100 finalists for its 2021 International Graduation Projects award. including the top 18 in Iraq. TIU’s architecture department has two students amongst the top 100. Dania Idrees Asaad and Lana Sarkawt Asaad with their graduation projects under the supervision of Mr.No’man Bayaty. worth noting that he was awarded the “Hisham Munir” award for the Iraqi Academic of the Year in 2020. This award was previously known as the Supervisor of the Year, for supervising both of the projects in second and third place.
The Architecture Department at TIU continues to grow and produce a high-level outcome. Despite being very new, the department is able to compete with colleges and universities established decades ago and prove its place amongst them as a serious competitor.
