As part of its commitment to practical learning and industry engagement, the Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department (PAME) at Tishk International University (TIU) organized an academic field trip on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, to the Qarachuq Cement Plant, a major facility owned by KAR Group. The field trip was arranged for third-grade students enrolled in the Mining Engineering course (PTR-324), along with a selection of fourth-grade students working on related graduation projects. Field Trip to KAR Group-Khurmala Oil Field As part of the departmental activities designed to enhance the students’ experiences, third-grade students of the Petroleum and Mining Engineering (PAME) Department, Faculty of Engineering  at Tishk International University (TIU) went on a scientific field trip to KAR Group Company-Khurmala Oil Field, located about 35 kilometers southwest of Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, on December 11th, 2022. Students enjoyed a great field trip to Qarachuq On Thursday 11th November 2021, the Department of Petroleum & Mining Engineering at Tishk International University organized a field trip to Qarachuq Cement Plant (owned by KAR Group), for third-grade students.
