The department of Computer Engineering will hold a workshop on LaTeX on March 3rd, 2019. This workshop will focus on how to use LaTex which is a high-quality typesetting system. As part of the continuous efforts of Computer Engineering Department in their on-going project of helping cancer stricken patients of Nanakaly Cancer hospital. The department's staff and students will be hosting a lunch gathering and a day out in Tishk International University's gardens and playground on 27th of March, 2019 with the hospital kids and their families to raise the level of awareness among the University staff and students about the realities and special needs of those children. The department of Computer Engineering will be organizing a competition among its students called: "Blind Coding Challenge". This is a fun challenge where participants are asked to code between 4-6 programming problem statements with their monitors turned off and within a time limit. Those whose code is executed get their score leveled by 100 points. The challenge will be held on 22nd of April, 2019 in Lab 241 and students of all grades are welcome to participate. Department of Computer Engineering in collaboration with the Department of Information Technology is annually holding a contest among its undergraduate students. This contest is focused on competitive programming challenges for students of Computer Engineering and IT Department. Besides improving students’ knowledge of algorithms and programming languages, the students will gain unique experience in problem solving, thinking outside the box and meeting tough deadlines – all essential for boosting students value as a programmer. Tishk International University’s Computer Engineering department, under the supervision of its head, Mr. Safwan Mawlood have participated in the 10th edition of Salahaddin University’s Software Engineering Department Annual Fair (SEDAF2018) on Monday, 7th of May, 2018.
