The department of Computer Engineering in collaboration with the Mechatronics Engineering department will be organizing a workshop entitled: “Automation Workshop: Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) – Siemens LOGO 8 and Soft Comfort Ladder Programming” on Monday, April 29, 2019.
In modern eras, automation has been twinned with electricity, to increase production in factories where production lines have become an essential part of manufacturing processes. Automation and PLC is the core in this, since machines, unlike human, can never get tired or bored nor they require special social/ psychological demands. In this workshop the Ladder programming is introduced based on Siemens LOGO 8 PLC system.
In the theory session, the attendees will be getting an introduction on Automation, PLC and Ladder Programming Logic Gates as well Switches and Sensors. Attendees will also get familiar with Siemens Soft Comfort Package and will get some exercises on: Basic Logic Gates Representation in Ladder Programming, Motor Start/Stop with Seal-in Rung and Timers in Ladder Programming
The hands-on session will cover Siemens Logo 8 Soft Comfort.
The workshop is scheduled to be held on Monday, April 29, 2019 in Tishk International University’s main building, hall #201 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM for the theory session and lab #239 for the hands-on session from 1:30 – 2:30 PM.
