International Workshop
Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department is going to arrange an international workshop titled “Application of reservoir management and production forecasting tools using IHS Harmony Software”. This workshop will focus on the theories and practical applications of Rate Transient Analysis, Decline Curve Analysis, Type Curve Methods for optimizing oil and gas production and enhancing reservoir management. During the workshop, IHS Harmony software will be demonstrated. The workshop aims to show the petroleum engineering students and staff, one of the world’s most advanced and used petroleum engineering software.
Session 1: Reservoir management and production forecasting by Mr. Frzan Ali
Mr. Frzan Fraidoon Ali, a petroleum engineer with 7 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry. He has worked as MWD/LWD with Schlumberger company in Russian Federation, and as Production Engineer and Reservoir Engineer with HKN Energy company in Iraq. He has a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, specializing in Reservoir Engineering. Mr. Frzan teaches petroleum engineering modules at Tishk International University.
Session 2: Application of IHS Harmony software for reservoir management and production forecasting by Mrs. Silvia Rey Gomez
Silvia Rey Gomez is the Associate Director for Engineering Customer Solutions in EMEA at IHS Markit. Throughout her career, she has specialized in Drilling, Reservoir Engineering and Project Management with the completion of international projects in Latin America, Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Silvia is a certified trainer for Decline Analysis and Rate Transient Analysis, with over ten years of oil and gas experience. Silvia holds a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering and a master’s degree in International Business Management.
