A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was previously signed between Tishk International University TIU and Entrac Petroleum Ltd EPL: a well-known consultancy and petroleum training provider based in London. According to the MOU signed, the first training session entitled “IWCF and IADC/Well Control” took place at the premises of Tishk International University, on 25th April 2021 and was completed successfully. Tishk International University organized a tree planting event within the scope of the Tree Planting Project. The event was arranged on March 14th, 2021, with the cooperation of the Directorate of Gardens and Parks Engineering. The workshop dealt with the measurement of formation parameters in real-time during drilling the borehole. Qarachugh Cement Factory Field Trip

A scientific field trip was arranged by petroleum and mining engineering department to Qarachugh Cement Plant/ Kar Group on 9th March 2021 for the students enrolled in the Mining Engineering course module. The trip was supervised by Professor, Dr. Hamed M. Jassim. The field trip was in connection with the Mining Engineering lectures. The first activity was a visit to the quarry which extracts raw materials for cement production.
