On 10th of March, 2019, Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to1- Abdul Fattah Yousif,2- Evin Ghazi,3- Ahmed Hussein, and4- Omar Dilshad.for their preparing and presenting Best Poster in "Poster Competition Exhibition" for Academic Debate course during the academic year 2018-2019 Among Science and Engineering Faculty at Tishk International University (TIU)/ Erbil-Iraq.      

As a part of appreciation and encouragement, Mr. Ammar Aldalawy, the chairperson of "International Society of Petroleum Engineers SPE - Erbil Section", awarded certificate of appreciation to Second Grade volunteer students for their valuable contribution in organizing SPE Distinct Lecturer (DL) workshop program. SPE DL workshop program was held twice during 2018-2019 academic year in the department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering. On April 2nd 2019, TishK International University held an Opening Ceremony of 12 new laboratories at the University campus. They are: two Nursing Laboratories, two Medical Analysis Laboratories, two Petroleum and Mining Laboratories, two Mechatronics Laboratories, two Computer Laboratories, one Surveying & Geomatics Engineering Laboratory, and one Computer Laboratory for Business Course. The Ceremony was held by the presence of Dr. Yusuf Goran, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and other senior officials in the Ministry. Preparations are continuous for the opening day on 02 April 2019 for both (Petroleum Fluid Properties) and (Fluid Mechanics & Thermodynamics) Laboratories in Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department.  

Since of February 2019, works of installation, testing & training of new laboratory devices are continuous in both Petroleum Fluid Properties Lab and (Fluid Mechanics & Thermodynamics Lab). Hereunder visual report of procedures in both laboratories:        

On the 7th of March 2019, both Petroleum & Mining Engineering Department in Tishk International University (TIU) and Society of Petroleum Engineers International (SPE) – Erbil Section organized a workshop entitled “Using Downhole Fiber Optic Temperature Sensing Technology to Monitor, Control and Improve Well Performance” For the Distinguished Lecturer program held periodically by SPE branches in the world. At the beginning of the workshop, TIU was introduced to the guests by Dr. Mohammed A. Namiq and then SPE Erbil section chairperson introduced SPE and DL program to them.
