The department of Computer Engineering, with the support of our department’s creative and hard working students, have organized an iftar gathering for a group of Nanakali cancer hospital recoverees and their families on Wednesday, 27/04/2022 at Tishk International University’s main building’s cafeteria.
The event started with a Ramadan iftar table which was prepared, cooked and set up by our volunteering students. This was followed by a trivia questions and answers as a fun activity for the children to help them engage better with the staff and students. Gift packages were also put together and handed out to the children as a thoughtful gesture from our students to uplift their spirits.
The Department of Computer Engineering would like to extend its gratitude to all the participating students and staff for their valuable and continuous contributions in keeping the project on-going.
The donation campaign that is targeted for hiring a new nurse in the hospital is still on-going, where monthly donations are needed from the students and staff to be able to give a full-year salary to the nurse in aims of providing the children with additional support and care.
