The department of Computer Engineering in collaboration with Five One Labs will be organizing a national workshop on the topic entitled: “Entrepreneurship in Tech Field”, which will take place on Thursday, 24th of November 2022 at 09:30 AM at Tishk International University’s Education Building, room #302.

Five One Labs will deliver entrepreneurship workshop at TIU as part of 2022 Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) activities. Global Entrepreneurship Week is a celebration of innovators who dream big and are launching startups that bring ideas to life. GEW reaches millions of people of all ages and backgrounds through local, national, and global events and activities.

So, if you have a business idea and are not sure where/how to start, in this workshop, we will provide you with the required information and support to start your own business.

The workshop will be presented by:

Hedi Saleh
Startup Support Manager at 51Labs, Erbil

She has obtained an Executive Master’s degree in Business Administration (EMBA) from the University of Kurdistan Hewler (UKH). She has more than nine years of experience in teaching and training in several NGOs and international schools. Hedi has been directly involved with entrepreneurs since joining Five One Labs in 2019. She has worked with entrepreneurs from different fields through various intensive programs, delivering training sessions and advisory services.
She has been part of the launching process of many startups through programs like Startup Incubators and Summer Innovators. She has also had the opportunity to work with later-stage startups in Female Founders and Acceleration Services programs.

Abdullah Bashir Thabit
Senior Trainer And Business Advisor at Five One Labs, Erbil

With around 10 years of experience working in the humanitarian and private sectors. Implemented several projects in Iraq to train thousands of youths on different skills for employability and business startups. Abdullah is very passionate about business and self-development. He is a Certified Professional Trainer (CPT) from the Britannia Global Academy (BGA).
Abdullah also enjoys playing ping pong, volleyball, and even video games during off-work hours.

The objectives of the workshop are as follows:
