The Department of Computer Engineering is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for students to participate in the 7th edition of the Start Cup Competition – Entrepreneurship in the Mediterranean, organized by the Union of Mediterranean Universities (UNIMED) in collaboration with the Lebanese University, the European Training Foundation (ETF), the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie – Moyen Orient (AUF), and the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari (CIHEAM Bari).
The Start Cup Competition is an international contest that brings together university students from across the Mediterranean region to present innovative entrepreneurial ideas and projects. The competition aims to foster creativity, innovation, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial thinking among students while strengthening collaboration between higher education institutions on both shores of the Mediterranean.
This year’s edition will be hosted by the European Training Foundation (ETF) and will take place in Turin, Italy, on November 23–24, 2026. The event will provide students with a unique platform to showcase their ideas, engage with fellow innovators, exchange experiences, and gain exposure to international perspectives on entrepreneurship and innovation.
Students from Computer Engineering and related disciplines are particularly encouraged to participate, as the competition welcomes innovative solutions in technology, software, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and other emerging fields that address real-world challenges.
Participants will have the opportunity to present innovative entrepreneurial ideas on an international stage while connecting with students and experts from across the Mediterranean region. The experience helps develop key skills in entrepreneurship, leadership, and presentation, while also offering exposure to global innovation ecosystems. It encourages meaningful idea exchange with peers from leading universities and institutions, and promotes creativity alongside technology-driven solutions to real societal challenges.
