Hash Code is a team-based programming competition, organized by Google, for students and professionals around the world. Participants pick their team and programming language and Google picks an engineering problem for them to solve. Course Overview The Python training course will introduce fundamental programming concepts including data structures, networked application program interfaces, and databases, continues to small GUI programs. Participants will learn Python data types such as Tuples and Dictionaries, Looping, Functions and I/O handling. Python training will also give you an overview of analyze data,  Object Oriented Programming and Graphical application development. The department of Computer Engineering organized a two-session Research Methodology workshop by Dr. Mohammed Mumtaz on November 29th and December 6th, 2018. This workshop was aimed to provide fourth year students with a complete guide on how to write their BSc final year project thesis. Participants learned the scientific methods required to be followed, how to search scientific reference and how to use and organize them in their report, the workshop also provided enriched details on how to prepare their final presentation of their project. On the 3rd of December, 2018, the department of Computer Engineering organized a workshop on “The Role of IEEE in Holding International Scientific Sponsored Conferences” at Tishk International University’s main campus. This workshop was presented by Prof. Dr. Sattar B. Sadkhan, faculty member in the University of Babylon, IT department and the creator and representative of IEEE – Iraq section, founded in 2008. The workshop discussed the importance and the procedures of holding conferences sponsored by IEEE and uploading the best of the accepted papers (within a specified threshold) to the IEEE Digital Explore Library as well as using Scopus citation. On Saturday, November 10th,2018, Tishk International University’s alumni office in collaboration with Computer Engineering department hosted a reunion lunch for the class of 2017 in Tishk International University. The class came together with great anticipation of meeting their friends and renewing their ties with the university and the department staff.
