The Huawei ICT Competition for the Middle East and Central Asia (MECA), in partnership with UNESCO IITE (Institute for Information Technologies in Education), is dedicated to advancing digital learning and fostering collaboration between industry and educational institutions. This annual global ICT talent exchange event is specifically designed for students, offering a prestigious platform to showcase their talents and gain worldwide recognition for their achievements. We invite you to join and participate in the competition.

Huawei ICT Academy is a partnership between Huawei and Academies around the world, with Tishk International University (TIU) as an official partner. Through this partnership, TIU can deliver Huawei ICT technologies training and encourage students to get Huawei certification and develop talents with practical skills for the ICT industry and the community.

The Department of Computer Engineering highly encourages its students to participate in the annual ICT Innovation Competition 2026/27 by joining the competition via the Tishk International University Academy and following the below-mentioned guidelines.

Competition Schedule and Format

The competition is structured into several rounds, with different modes and formats:

Competition Rules

Here are the rules for participation:

I. Who can participate:

  • The contestants must be university students.

II. Requirements for participating individually or in teams:

  • Participants must have access to a PC and the internet.
  • Each participant is only allowed to enter one track per competition.
  • Students can participate in the competition individually or team-based. For the teams, it’s recommended that each team consists of 3 students per track/country.
  • The team-based students must come from the same college or university.
  • It is not allowed to change the instructor and/or students of a team after successful registration.
  • The regional finals are team-based, with teams advancing from the national finals.
