The TIU Architecture Engineering Department faculty recently caught up with Ali Jabbar M. (Class of 2024–2025), who has transitioned from our design studios to the bustling construction grounds of Erbil. On June 3rd 2026, members of our teaching staff, Mrs. Wafaa Wasfi and Mr. Dyako Rostam, conducted an on-site faculty visit to the active construction zone to connect with Ali and see his professional progress firsthand.

Ali is currently making his mark as the Site Architect for Empire Construction, specifically overseeing the landmark Empire Mosque Project. Moving beyond standard corporate updates, this feature looks at how our recent graduates are balancing cultural heritage with modern construction management right here in our city alongside their former instructors.

The Professional Profile:

 Alumnus: Ali Jabbar M.

 Graduation Year: Class of 2024–2025

 Employer: Empire Construction

 Current Role: Site Architect

 Current Assignment: Empire Mosque Project

During the site visit, Mrs. Wafaa and Mr. Dyako sat down with Ali in the project environment, where he shared how the rigorous, hands-on modeling and technical detailing components of his TIU coursework provided him with the foundation necessary to confidently address the immediate, fast-paced challenges of an active construction zone.

Shaping the Skyline:

For the faculty and teaching staff at TIU, seeing Ali take on a defining role with a premier firm like Empire Construction is incredibly rewarding. Projects like the Empire Mosque do more than change the physical layout of Erbil; they serve as a testament to the capability, readiness, and leadership potential of our engineering graduates.

We look forward to following Ali’s career as he continues to shape local infrastructure, and we thank him for his warm hospitality during our team’s visit. He continues to represent the standards of the TIU Architecture Engineering Department exceptionally on site.
