The Architecture Department of Tishk International University held a lunch outside the campus at an oriental restaurant. The head of department, Mrs. Soma Abdulsalam Kareem, organized and suggested the idea. The event was a friendly gesture, to gather the academics of the architecture department for a lunch outside the university, aiming to break the routine of the long working hours and to celebrate the end of the first semester.
Mrs. Soma A. Kareem, personally called the full-time academics of the department, and the dean of the Engineering Faculty, Dr. Halit Vulat, to invite them join the lunch. And they all welcomed the idea.
The staff headed to the restaurant at lunch break, exactly at 12:00. They enjoyed their oriental food and humorous talks for around an hour before they headed back to the university at 13:30 to get back to their individual tasks after a memorable lunch.
