Environmental visit to Shex-Turab Area

In celebration of the 1st of May Labors Day by Tishk International University, groups of students of both 4th stage Architectural Engineering and Interior Design Departments alongside their coaching staff, organized a very stimulating environmental trip to the mountains of Kurdistan, a place called Shaikh -Turab. At the site, many activities were done by the students and the faculty staff, such as mountaineering, walking, football gaming, and volleyball as well. Dr Azad Hama Shekhany the Head of Architecture Department, Engineering faculty at Tishk International University, has won a prize of 2019 award for an Individual piece of art for his work ‘The Ship Of Diversity'. This is from Azad's series 'Ship'. This Series reflects the many peoples now 'adrift' in the world. On Monday, May the 14th, Miss Aysha Rashid Prepared a lunch for the staff of Architecture Department of Tishk International University. The event was a friendly gesture, to gather the academics of the architecture department for a lunch inside the university, aiming to break the routine of the long working hours. The staff headed to the seating area in the 1st floor of the main building of Tishk International  university at lunch break, exactly at 12:00. They enjoyed their oriental food and humorous talks for around an hour before they headed back to their individual tasks after a memorable lunch.

On Monday, March the 12th, the Architecture Department of Tishk International University held a lunch outside the campus at Canyon Hotel. The head of department, Miss. Soma Abdulsalam Kareem organized and suggested the idea. The event was a friendly gesture, to gather the academics of the architecture department for a lunch outside the university, aiming to break the routine of the long working hours and to celebrate the end of the first semester. Fourth Year Students’ Picnic

On Sunday, December the 10th, the Architecture Department at Tishk International University prepared a trip to Korek Mountain and Shenglbana Park, for the Fourth Year Students. The Trip was headed by Dr. Hassan Hasson. Dr. Hassan Hasson and the students left the university at 8:30 AM, and Arrived at Shenglbana Park at 10:00 AM the students start playing around and enjoying their time in the amusement park there. Farewell Reception

On Monday, 27th November, the Head of Architecture Department,  Miss Soma A. Kareem, hosted a farewell reception for the academic staff, where the department had to farewell three of its Research Assistants. The Head of Architecture Department invited the Dean of Engineering Faculty, Dr. Halit Vural, and all the academics of the department over for lunch, and also the former Research Assistants that the reception was held for to appreciate their effort and the time they spent in Tishk International University.  After lunch, Dr. Halit Vural, Miss Soma A. Kareem and the rest of the academics shared a laugh during dessert in remembrance of the services of the former Research Assistants, thereafter they received certificates of appreciation from the Dean of Engineering Faculty [...]
