Seminar: The Sustainable Cities In The Middle East On October 12th, 2022, the Architectural Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University organised an internal seminar titled: The Sustainable Cities in the Middle East. The seminar, presented by Mr. No'man Al-Bayaty, discussed sustainable cities designed to provide a sustainable solution where they would be constructed in the middle east. It also displayed the cons and pros of the suggested designs and explained the possible outcomes of implementing the proposals. Workshop: Research Methodology for Architecture and Interior Design Tishk International University has organized (ICAD2021) an International Conference on Architecture and Interior Design in collaboration with the University of Technology of Baghdad, under the theme of “Education and Practice in Architecture”. The conference will be held on 9th -10th November 2021. The conference includes a two days workshop about Research Methodology for Architecture and Interior Design,  directed by Dr. Afroz Ahmad Shah. Students are urged to participate on both days of the conference. A certificate will be given to paid participants.

On Thursday, 14 October 2021, second-grade students who had joined the 'Free Hand Drawing' course conducted their session outdoors, in moderate weather and a breezy October day. Students gathered on campus and chose the educational faculty building to draw perspectives, each according to their own vision and place. The Department of Architecture of Tishk International University held an orientation program for freshmen students on October 13th and 14th, 2021. The program was designed to welcome new students to TIU for the academic year of 2021-2022. The event was attended by students from 2nd to 5th grades, and was conducted under the supervision of Mrs. Shino Abdullah, Head of Department, who delivered a warm welcoming speech to all newcomers. Graduation Projects Discussions were held in the Architecture Department, over the course of three days; 22nd, 23rd, 24th of June 2021. Discussions were held in two separate design studios simultaneously, and guest jurors were invited to evaluate the projects alongside internal examiners and the supervisors of each project.
