TIU Welcomes Mosul’s College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering

In a collaborative effort orchestrated by Mr. Omar Azad, Faculty Advisor of Tishk International University SPE Student Chapter, and Dr. Liqaa, Faculty Advisor of Mosul University SPE Student Chapter, we were honoured to extend an invitation to the College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering at the University of Mosul.

On February 22nd, 2024, the students, guided by the collective efforts of Mr. Omar Azad and Dr. Liqaa, embarked on a visit to Tishk International University (TIU). This collaborative initiative aimed to strengthen the ties between our institutions, fostering knowledge exchange and creating collaborative opportunities.

The tour of our campus and laboratories, including Petroleum Drilling Engineering Lab, Petroleum Reservoir Engineering Lab, Mining and Mineral Processing Lab, Petroleum Fluid Properties Lab, and Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics Lab, provided the visiting students with valuable insights into our academic environment.

Special recognition is extended to the dedicated efforts of both SPE chapter officers, Zahraa Mohammed Faiq from TIU, and Ahmed Nofal, President of Mosul University’s SPE Student Chapter. Their commitment played a crucial role in ensuring the success of this collaborative endeavor.

We express our sincere gratitude to the College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering for considering and accepting our invitation. This collaboration not only enriches academic understanding but also lays the groundwork for future partnerships between Tishk International University and the University of Mosul.
