In a strategic collaboration with TTOPCO Oil Company, renowned in the Kurdistan region of Iraq for its prominence in the oil industry, Tishk International University’s Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department organized a comprehensive summer training program for its students. This initiative provided firsthand exposure to the operational intricacies of TTOPCO’s oil field in Taqtaq, near Koya city, during September.

The program featured on-site training, allowing students to visit and engage with various sections and departments of the company. Under the guidance of skilled engineers and experts, students witnessed industry procedures, gaining practical insights through hands-on experiences.

Continuing this valuable partnership, TTOPCO extended its commitment by sending two experts to Tishk International University’s campus on October 4th. The experts, Aram Naser Faidhullah, HSE Officer, and Dashty Smael, Geologist Supervisor, conducted insightful lectures for the students. This second phase of the program provided a unique opportunity for students to delve deeper into specific industry domains.

The lectures, delivered by seasoned professionals from the oil industry proved highly beneficial. Their wealth of experience and practical insights shared during the sessions enriched both staff members and students, offering a bridge between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications.

This collaborative effort not only enhances the academic curriculum but also aligns with Tishk International University’s commitment to preparing students for successful careers in the petroleum and mining engineering field. The university looks forward to fostering more such partnerships that bridge the gap between academia and industry, ensuring its students receive a comprehensive and well-rounded education.
