On December 10th, 2024, the Department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering at Tishk International University (TIU) hosted an internal seminar titled "Earthquakes, Definition, Measurements and Scales," presented by Prof. Dr. Fadhil Ali. The seminar delved into the definition of earthquakes, their causes related to energy release along faults at tectonic plate boundaries, and the types of plate boundaries, including convergent, divergent, and transform.
