As part of its continuous academic enrichment initiatives, the Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department (PAME) at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a departmental seminar titled “Fundamentals of Petroleum Production Engineering.” The seminar was delivered by Mr. Nabaz Ali Abdulrahman, a dedicated academic staff member of the department, on Tuesday, May 28, 2025, in Hall 214, Main Building. Students enjoyed a great field trip to Qarachuq On Thursday 11th November 2021, the Department of Petroleum & Mining Engineering at Tishk International University organized a field trip to Qarachuq Cement Plant (owned by KAR Group), for third-grade students. Approximately 35 students, in addition to departmental supervisors, Dr. Hamed M. Jassim, Mr. Mohammad Ariwan, and Mr. Nabaz Ali, participated in the trip. The program of the trip included a visit to the quarry of the raw materials for cement production, whereby the geologists and engineers gave a full description of the raw materials excavation and transport by conveyor belts [...]
