On March 11, 2026, the Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department at Tishk International University organized a student iftar gathering as part of its student engagement activities. The department arranged this activity with fourth-year students at a country house outside the city to create a friendly and relaxed environment.
This student iftar aimed to strengthen the relationship between lecturers and students beyond the classroom setting. Mr. Omar Azad and Mr. Mohammed Ariwan Jamal represented the department and organized the event, focusing on creating a space where students could interact freely and feel more comfortable sharing their thoughts.
During the gathering, participants shared the iftar meal together in a calm and informal atmosphere. Afterward, lecturers and students sat together for open discussions about academic concerns, career planning, and future opportunities after graduation. As a result, students gained valuable advice about industry expectations and professional pathways.
The session also allowed students to raise questions about workplace environments, job opportunities, and personal development. The informal setting encouraged honest communication and meaningful interaction, helping to bridge the gap between academic life and future careers.
Through this student iftar, the department reinforced its commitment to supporting students both academically and personally. Such initiatives continue to enhance student experience and promote a positive learning community.
