On 11 March 2026, the Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department at Tishk International University organized a student iftar gathering as part of its student engagement activities. The department arranged this activity with fourth-year students in a country house outside the city to create a friendly and relaxed environment.
This student iftar at TIU aimed to strengthen the relationship between lecturers and students beyond the classroom setting. Mr. Omar Azad and Mr. Mohammed Ariwan Jamal represented the department and organized the event. They focused on creating a space where students could interact freely and feel more comfortable sharing their thoughts.
During the gathering, participants shared the iftar meal together in a calm and informal atmosphere. Afterward, lecturers and students sat together for open discussions. They talked about academic concerns, career planning, and future opportunities after graduation. As a result, students gained valuable advice about industry expectations and professional pathways.
Moreover, the session allowed students to raise questions about workplace environments, job opportunities, and personal development. The informal setting encouraged honest communication and meaningful interaction. Therefore, the activity helped bridge the gap between academic life and future careers.
Through this student iftar at TIU, the department reinforced its commitment to supporting students both academically and personally. Such initiatives continue to enhance student experience and promote a positive learning community.
