Food Fundraising, Social Community Projects & Club Introduction Day
The Dean of Students at Tishk International University (TIU) held a food fundraising event on November 29th, 2023, in which it also showcased the university’s commitment to community service and student engagement through the introduction of the social community projects and clubs held at the university. The event was hosted by our student Revan Rzgar and featured a compelling speech by Dr. Mohammed Abdullghani, Dean of Students enriching the day with insightful perspectives and inspiration for the university community. This event brought together students, teachers, and locals in a delightful feast for a good cause. Volunteers from the department cooked up a storm, preparing a variety of tasty dishes that drew a large crowd eager to lend their support.
The Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department actively participated this social event, both the staff and students of the department contributed by bringing homemade food meals, which were then sold as part of a fundraising initiative. The objective was to collect donations for two upcoming departmental social projects: supporting the Hiwa Deaf Institution and contributing to tree planting initiatives. This collaborative effort aimed to not only introduce various clubs and projects within the department but also to foster a sense of community engagement and social responsibility among the university’s staff and students.
