Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department at the 7th Spring Festival
The Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University (TIU) participated in the 7th International Festival of Language, Culture, and Science, hosted by Tishk International University (TIU) under the theme “The Spring of Excitement.” An environment of cultural exchange and collaboration was fostered by this dynamic event, which was organised by the Dean of Students, and brought together over 5,000 participants from a variety of backgrounds. The festival, which was held on April 25th, 2024, commemorated intellectual exploration and diversity.
The Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department proudly displayed its presence through three separate tents. The first tent, which was dedicated to Polish culture, provided visitors with an immersive experience of the country’s rich traditions and flavours, including authentic cuisine and cultural exhibits. This cultural tent, which was overseen by department students, offered an intriguing glimpse into Polish heritage.
The second tent served as a scientific hub, showcasing innovative research and the latest advancements in the field of petroleum and mining engineering. Additionally, the department ran a food fundraising tent, where attendees could enjoy delectable treats while contributing to the department’s future initiatives. The Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department’s activities were overseen by department staff members Ms. Shayma Hamza and Mr. Omar Azad, who ensured the success of each endeavour throughout the festival.
