Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department at the 7th Spring Festival

The Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University (TIU) participated in the 7th International Festival of Language, Culture, and Science, hosted by Tishk International University (TIU) under the theme “The Spring of Excitement.” This dynamic event, orchestrated by the Dean of Students, united over 5,000 participants from various backgrounds, fostering an environment of cultural exchange and collaboration. Taking place on April 25th, 2024, the festival celebrated diversity and intellectual exploration.

The Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department proudly showcased its presence through three distinct tents. The first tent, dedicated to Polish culture, immersed visitors in the rich traditions and flavours of Poland, offering authentic cuisine and cultural displays. Supervised by department students, this cultural tent provided a captivating glimpse into Polish heritage.

The department’s second tent served as a scientific hub, highlighting groundbreaking research and innovations within the field of petroleum and mining engineering. Presented by department students, this tent showcased the department’s academic excellence and commitment to scientific advancement.

In addition, the department hosted a food fundraising tent, where visitors could indulge in delicious treats while supporting future departmental activities. This fundraising initiative underscored the department’s dedication to both academic excellence and community engagement.

Throughout the festival, the Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department’s activities were overseen by department staff members Ms. Shayma Hamza and Mr. Omar Azad, who ensured the success of each endeavour.
