In a vibrant celebration of culture, science, and community engagement, Tishk International University (TIU) held its 2025 Spring Festival of Language, Culture, and Science on April 29, 2025, under the inspiring theme “Diversity is Our Strength, Unity is Our Power.” Organized by the Dean of Students, the festival brought together more than 6,000 attendees, including students, academic staff, international guests, and members of the public.

As part of this large-scale celebration, the Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department (PAME) actively participated through multiple initiatives—one of the most meaningful being the Food Fundraising Tent, organized and supervised by Mr. Omar Azad and Ms. Ala Ibrahim, staff members of the department.

A Feast for a Cause

The tent featured a wide variety of home-cooked meals, snacks, and drinks, generously prepared and contributed by PAME staff members and students. Throughout the day, the tent welcomed hundreds of visitors from across the university, raising funds that will be used to support departmental activities and charitable efforts.

This initiative not only added a warm, communal atmosphere to the festival but also reflected PAME’s commitment to social responsibility, teamwork, and student-staff collaboration. The success of the Food Fundraising Tent was made possible thanks to the dedication of volunteers, donors, and the enthusiastic participation of the department’s academic community.

The Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department expresses sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to this meaningful activity, from food preparation to service and sales. It served as a valuable opportunity for students and staff to work together, build community spirit, and contribute to both educational and humanitarian causes.
