On March 11, 2025, the Department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering at Tishk International University (TIU) organized its annual Ramadan gathering, bringing together students from all grades and staff members for a meaningful Iftar meal. The event was arranged by department staff members Mr. Omar Azad, Mr. Ibrahim Fatih, and Ms. Ala Ibrahim, under the support of the department head, Dr. Fadhil Ali.
A Spirit of Community and Unity
The gathering took place on the TIU campus, where the university had designated special areas for such events during the holy month of Ramadan. Students and staff contributed by bringing a variety of traditional and international dishes, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere. Beyond the meal, the event provided an opportunity for participants to connect outside of the academic setting, strengthening bonds within the department in a spirit of faith and unity.
Following the Iftar, attendees engaged in discussions on various topics, making the evening not only a time of togetherness but also an enriching social experience. The department remains committed to fostering a sense of community through such meaningful events.
