Hiwa Institution of the Deaf and Mute as Part of University’s Social Community Projects

“Department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering Brings Joy to Hiwa Institution of the Deaf and Mute as Part of University’s Social Community Projects”

On December 16th, 2022, Tishk International University’s Department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, under the supervision of Research A. Mr. Omar Azad Khorsheed, took part in the university’s social community projects by organizing a wall painting activity for the internal walls of Hiwa Institution of the Deaf and Mute. A team of volunteers, including Xurbet Abdurrahman Abdal, Ronahı Ehmet Evdı, Xurbet Elı hacı, Axın Elı Hacı, and Ruken Mehemet Sımal, worked alongside the department to bring new life and colour to the institute.

This project was a continuation of the long-standing relationship between the Department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering and Hiwa Institution, which aims to provide equal educational opportunities and protect the students’ right to learn. The department was proud to contribute to this meaningful endeavor and is dedicated to improving the lives of those around them through their support of Hiwa Institution.

The corridors of Hiwa Institution were transformed into cheerful spaces, each wall telling its own unique story or conveying a special message. The students were thrilled with the new additions and expressed their gratitude for the efforts of the department and the volunteer painters.

The wall painting activity was well-received by both the students and staff at Hiwa Institution and showcased the department’s commitment to serving the community through the university’s social community projects. The Department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering at Tishk International University plans to continue its support for Hiwa Institution in the future.
