PAME Social Community Project: Hiwa Institution of Deaf and Mute
On January 28th 2021, department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering (PAME) of Tishk International University (TIU) / Faculty of Engineering, organized a visit to Hiwa Institution of the Deaf and Mute. The visit was just the first step of a year lasting cooperation between our university and the institute. Hiwa Institution strives to educate their students and provide an equal opportunity for them to learn and preserve their right of learning.
A committee from petroleum and mining engineering department, consisting of staff; Mohammed Ariwan Jamal, Nabaz Ali Abdulrahman and Shnyar Ahmed Hussein, Research Assistants in PAME and students; Omer Azad and Mohammed Falah, 4th Stage PAME students, paid a visit to the institute. The purpose of the visit was to meet with the institute’s staff in person and get more familiar with how they run the institute up close. In the meeting with the principal, the current situation of institute and students were discussed alongside the plans for various types of activities that are going to be held in the future through involving students and staff from both the institute and our university in the.
