On December 12, 2019, as a practical side of the (Structural Geology) for the second stage students, the Department of Petroleum & Mining Engineering arranged a scientific trip which covered the area between Erbil City and Shaqlawa Town.
On both sides of the road there are many rock types belonging to many formations and involving many geologic structural features. Those features were studied theoretically during the first semester because they are important for petroleum and mining engineer.
