As part of its continuous academic enrichment initiatives, the Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department (PAME) at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a departmental seminar titled “Fundamentals of Petroleum Production Engineering.” The seminar was delivered by Mr. Nabaz Ali Abdulrahman, a dedicated academic staff member of the department, on Tuesday, May 28, 2025, in Hall 214, Main Building.
Comprehensive Overview of Production Engineering
The presentation offered a comprehensive overview of core concepts in petroleum production, including reservoir behavior, pressure-volume-temperature (PVT) relationships, inflow/outflow performance, flow regimes, well completion techniques, and artificial lift systems. Mr. Nabaz emphasized the significance of a systems-based approach through nodal analysis, which is widely used in the industry to evaluate and optimize production performance.
The seminar provided an excellent platform for faculty members to exchange technical insights and discuss practical applications of production engineering principles. It reflected the department’s ongoing commitment to academic collaboration, industry alignment, and professional development.
The Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department expresses its sincere gratitude to Mr. Nabaz Ali Abdulrahman for his valuable contribution and extends appreciation to all faculty members who attended and actively participated in the seminar.
