on 10th of April, 2018. Petroleum & Mining Engineering Department held a Seminar About (Introduction to Oil and Gas Industry) which was presented by Mr. Zhiyar AbdulJabbar Service Delivery Manager at OilServ company. the seminar enriched students with a general knowledge about operator companies & service companies , the difference between them and how to improve chances in getting into an Oil & Gas Company as well the career path in oil and gas Business .
On February 19th, 2018, Petroleum & Mining Engineering Department had a Workshop About geology, its methods, petroleum and petroleum geology which was presented by the head of the Department Dr. Srood Naqshabandi and Dr. Govand Sherwani. the aim of the workshop was to improve and update student's knowledge also engaging students more into their field of study. on 21st of December 2017, First-year students paid a scientific visit to Erbil Citadel Gems and Stones Museum under the supervision of lecturer Dr. Shwan with assistants Mr.Huner Mahdi and ms.Shaida Mustafa. we welcomed by geologist Mr.Sarbast the owner and manager of Erbil Stones & Gems Museum who taught students about Rock types and Fossils then students assigned to prepare a report regarding the visit.
