On 2 December 2025, the Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department (PAME) at Tishk International University (TIU) actively participated in the Community Service Projects and Extracurricular Activities Day, a university-wide event organized to support social initiatives and highlight student activities.
The event included a large food fundraising campaign aimed at collecting funds for community service projects, in addition to showcasing various extracurricular and volunteer activities across TIU. The Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department was represented by Ms. Ala Ibrahim and Mr. Ibrahim Fatih, with Mr. Omar Azad participating as a member of the Social Activities Committee.
Students from the department actively joined the event, and the department organized two food fundraising tents to collect donations in support of its social community project in collaboration with the HIWA Institute for the Mute and Deaf. The initiative witnessed strong engagement from participants and visitors, resulting in the successful collection of a good amount of funds for the project.
This participation reflects the department’s commitment to community service, social responsibility, and student engagement, alongside its academic mission, and highlights the active role of PAME students and staff in supporting meaningful societal initiatives.
