As part of its continued collaboration with the energy sector, the Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department at Tishk International University (TIU) successfully conducted a five-day training program titled “Water Treatment and Heat Exchange” for engineers from North Gas Company. The program was held at the TIU campus from June 15 to June 19, 2025.
This training represents the second in a series of industry-focused programs designed to strengthen the department’s ties with the industrial community and support technical capacity building within Iraq’s public energy sector. North Gas Company, operating under the Ministry of Oil, remains one of the department’s most prominent industry partners.
Program Details
The sessions were delivered by Assistant Professor Ziyad Jamil Talabany, supported by departmental staff member Mr. Omar Azad. The training covered both theoretical and practical concepts, emphasizing the fundamentals and industrial applications of water treatment processes and heat exchange systems—key components in petroleum and gas operations.
