On February 11, 2025, a group of third-stage students from the Department of Oil and Gas at Peshang Private Institute, accompanied by their lecturers, visited the Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department at Tishk International University (TIU). This visit was arranged in coordination between our department and the management of Peshang Private Institute.
A Day of Exploration and Learning
The visit began with a warm welcome from Mr. Ibrahim Fatih, a staff member of our department, who introduced the students to TIU in one of the university halls. They watched the TIU introduction video, followed by a short presentation from Mr. Ibrahim about the history, capabilities, and facilities of the Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department, including classrooms and laboratories.
Afterward, the students took a tour of TIU’s facilities before visiting the department’s laboratories. There, Mr. Ibrahim introduced them to some of the key laboratories, and Mr. Omar Azad, another department staff member, gave them a short lecture and demonstrated various laboratory equipment. The visitors had the opportunity to explore different tools and machinery used in petroleum engineering studies.
This visit was facilitated by Mr. Mohammed Shahab, a lecturer at Peshang Private Institute and a graduate of our department, in collaboration with Mr. Ibrahim Fatih and Mr. Omar Azad. The guests expressed their appreciation for the department’s facilities and laboratories and showed interest in future collaborations between their institute and TIU. The visit concluded with a group photo in front of TIU’s main building.
