On December 3, 2024, the Department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering at Tishk International University (TIU), in collaboration with our alumni, Mr. Dilman Lajani and Mr. Garmiyan Qasim, organized a special program for the Hiwa Institute for Deaf and Mute. This initiative is part of our department’s ongoing social community projects.

A Project Focused on Inclusivity and Care

The alumni spearheaded the initiative by collecting donations and providing assistance to the children at the institute. This program coincided with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, aiming to bring joy to the children and emphasize inclusivity and care for differently-abled individuals.

This thoughtful gesture highlighted the dedication of our graduates and the department’s commitment to fostering meaningful social impact within the community.
