On February 22nd, 2021, the Department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering (PAME) of Tishk International University (TIU) / Faculty of Engineering, organized a visit to Hiwa Institution of the Deaf and Mute. The purpose of the visit was to deliver the aid gathered by the petroleum and mining engineering students and staff to the institute, to assist the students of the institute during their studies this year, and keep them safe from diseases and harm. The items included facemasks for children and adults, sanitizers, and infrared thermometers for body temperature measurements.
The committee consisted of staff (Nabaz Ali, Mohammed Ariwan, and Shnyar Ahmed) and (Fatah Mohammed and Evin Ghazi) 3rd stage PAME students. The institute was very pleased and expressed its gratitude through an appreciation letter to the PAME Department.
