The school staff welcomed TIU and were very kind to help distribute the gifts TIU packed for the students at the school. TIU engaged well with the little schoolers and taught them some arithmetic tricks to help them memorize their times' table during their mathematics class. HITEX 2021 Exhibition

The Faculty of Engineering took part in this technological exhibition by presenting their graduation projects. Students from the Departments of Mechatronics, Computer, and Information Technology displayed their work in the event and drew the attention of more than 62,000 visitors, as well as local media TV, including Kurdistan 24 (K24) news channel. The theme of the workshop is Arduino micro-controllers, which are very widely used for small projects and quite popular with students for their availability and low price. The research discussed ventilation systems designs for the multi-purpose basement shelters in three different scenarios: (1) in regular days when no risk is found, (2) when the building is exposed to blast attacks, and (3) when the building is exposed to chemical attacks.
