International Workshop on “Arduino: Fundamentals and Coding” (Online)

2021-05-25T14:57:49+03:00

“Arduino: Fundamentals and Coding” is an international online engineering workshop (Online) organized by the Mechatronics Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Tishk International University, Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq. The theme of the workshop is Arduino micro-controllers, which are very widely used for small projects and quite popular with students for their availability and low price. The majority of the final year projects (FYP’s) are Arduino-based. This workshop will help the students and give them a head start in terms of writing effective sketches (programs) that will solve the practical problems they could encounter. The workshop concentrates on the Arduino Uno as they [...]

Seminar: “Designing Effective Ventilation Systems for Multi-Purpose Basement Shelters”

2021-05-25T18:22:33+03:00

The outcomes of the research “Designing Effective Ventilation Systems for Multi-Purpose Basement Shelters” were presented by Ms. Rasha Alkabbanie, in the Mechatronics Engineering Department on January 28th, 2021. The research discussed ventilation systems designs for the multi-purpose basement shelters in three different scenarios: (1) in regular days when no risk is found, (2) when the building is exposed to blast attacks, and (3) when the building is exposed to chemical attacks. The research also explained the proper ventilation systems that should be installed in an efficient way to prevent the health risks of the occupants and the structural damage of [...]
