Dr. Najmadeen M. Saeed, Assistant Professor in the Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University (TIU), took center stage as a guest lecturer at the Bauhaus University of Weimar’s Summer School 2023. The event saw participants from over 10 different countries, including esteemed academicians and professionals in the field.
The enlightening lecture, titled “Stress and Deformation Control in Structures,” captivated the audience’s attention as Dr. Saeed delved into the intricacies of managing stress and deformation in engineering marvels. This lecture marked a significant milestone within the framework of the Multiscale Consequence Studies for Hazard Impact on Structures in Iraq Project. Funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the project is a collaborative effort between the Bauhaus University of Weimar’s Chair of Advanced Structures and Tishk International University’s Civil Engineering Department. The program not only promotes international cooperation but also seeks to bolster the resilience of structures in Iraq against various hazards.
