Social Community Project (Orphans Deserve Smile and Love)

The Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University, has launched a new social community project for the 2022-2023 academic year. A group of three Civil Engineering students on March 13th and 14th, accompanied by two university staff, visited the Social Welfare and Development Center to spend time with the children and bring smiles to their faces. The students played games with the children, organized fun activities, and distributed gifts and treats. A total of 50 gifts were shared with the children, aiming to help them develop new skills and improve learning through educational toys.

The visit was organized as part of TIU’s Dean of Students’ commitment to social responsibility and community service. The university believes in instilling these values in its students and encouraging them to give back to society.

The students were delighted to have the opportunity to interact with the children and make a positive impact on their lives. They were humbled by the experience and expressed gratitude to the centre for allowing them to participate in such a meaningful activity. The Social Welfare and Development Center also expressed its appreciation to TIU for organizing the visit and praised the students for their kindness and generosity.

We commend our students and staff members for taking the initiative to contribute to the community’s betterment. We hope their efforts will inspire others to join us or encourage others to create a positive impact on the community. Tishk International University remains dedicated to promoting social responsibility and community service, and as such, we are committed to our ongoing efforts towards creating a better world for everyone.

As Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of the Board of Trustees at Tishk International University, said, “We believe that education should not only be about acquiring knowledge and skills, but also about contributing to the well-being of society”. Through this social community project, we aim to empower our students to become active and responsible members of society and to inspire them to make a positive difference in the world.

The visit was a heartwarming experience for all involved, and the Civil Engineering Department at TIU hopes to continue organizing similar activities to support the local community.
